FAQs

Got a question? You’re not alone. Check out our FAQs for our most commonly sought-after race info. If what you need isn’t here, shoot us an email at community@clippedinforlife.org.

  • What do I need to know for race day?

    Pre-race instructions are sent out to all registered racers on the Thursday before race day. Once that email has been sent, this link will allow you to view the email in a browser.

  • Where/when do I pick up my packet?

    Pick up your packet on race day at the Registration Tent from 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM. Look for the Clipped In for Life tents near the Finish Line.

  • Will there be late/day-of registration?

    Yes! Registration fees increase to late pricing on Thursday, February 6 at 12:00 AM PST. All racers are required to register online, so we highly recommend registering online at home to avoid squinting at your smart phone screen on race morning. Online registration remains open throughout race day.

  • Can I pre-ride the course?

    If you would like to pre-ride the course, you may do so from 7:30-8:00 am on race morning or in between races. Please queue at the black tent with the “Pre-Ride Entrance” sign just past the finish line as a race is finishing up. The race announcer will let you know when you may get on the course to pre-ride. Pre-riding is NOT allowed during a race!

  • Is there any food onsite?

    Allen BBQ & Burgers will be onsite from 9am-3pm! Look forward to coffee and a hot savory breakfast option in the morning before the menu switches over to Allen BBQ’s signature Sacramento-style BBQ for lunch.

  • Hey, do you guys need volunteer help?

    We love volunteers! We need help with setup, course marshaling, and tear down. Click here to sign up and email community@clippedinforlife.org with questions.

  • I'm part of a group/club/team. Where can we set up a support area?

    Teams may set up in the areas marked in green on the map above. There is no vehicle access to these areas due to wet ground; please plan accordingly to carry in your equipment. Team Trailers should stage in the gravel lot off 5th Street. Please do not park trailers or pop up tents in the paved lot.

  • Do you give out podium awards?

    We’ll have a podium ceremony for the top three in each category for Grom and Adult categories. High School categories will have their own awards system, to be communicated. Points are awarded as follows:

    1st Place = 1 point;
    2nd Place = 9 points;
    3rd Place = 13 points;
    4th Place = 17 points;
    5th Place = 19 points;
    6th Place = 21 points;
    7th Place = 23 points;
    8th Place = 25 points;
    9th Place = 26 points;
    10th Place+ = 27 points+;
    Did Not Start (DNS) = 55 points;
    Disqualified (DSQ) = 60 points

    Podiums take place approximately 30 minutes after you finish your race, so you won’t have to wait around all day. However, we encourage you to hang out as long as you can and cheer on the rest of our racers!
