FAQs

Got a question? You’re not alone. Check out our FAQs for our most commonly sought-after race info. If what you need isn’t here, shoot us an email at community@clippedinforlife.org.

  • Which programs does the series support?

Monday Night FundRacing supports the following Clipped In for Life youth programs:

These programs are essential to realizing Clipped In for Life’s vision to bring cycling from the fringe to the forefront of our culture by designing a clear pathway from learning to ride to riding for life.

  • Is my donation tax deductible?

Yes! Your race entry is is free with all costs covered thanks to the generosity of our presenting sponsor. Any optional contribution made during registration is considered a tax-deductible donation to Clipped In for Life, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Federal Tax ID #85-1335930. 100% of your donation directly supports our Youth Programs:

Please note, this is not the case for paid entries for other Clipped In for Life events. In those cases, you are paying for a race entry and receiving a good or service in return, which means your paid amount is not tax-deductible.

  • Are there any bike requirements?

A safely working non-motorized bicycle. We recommend a mountain bike or at the very least dirt tires. You can’t spell FundRacing without Fun, so if underbiking or riding a technologically disadvantaged bike is your thing (see the clunker/coaster/retro ss category) go for it! Helmets required, of course.

  • Tell me about the Race Courses. How long are they?

Anywhere from 1/3 to 1 mile. The first half of the series takes place at Lakeside Church in Folsom, and then moves to District Church in El Dorado Hills for the final two races. Both venues feature specially built courses with MTB specific berms and rollers that all skill levels can enjoy.

Check out the course preview videos below…or better yet, stop by a Folsom Grom race on Thursday nights and see for yourself! Cheering on those kids will fill your stoke cup.

  • Can Groms Race at the FundRaces?

We wouldn’t recommend it except for the most experienced 4th or 5th grade Groms. There will be a large speed differential between most Groms and the FundRacing participants, which may not be the best experience on a short-track course. But do bring the Groms to cheer on Mom and/or Dad!

  • Do you guys need any help?

Yes! This series would not be possible without volunteer support.

Volunteer opportunities include track maintenance, course building, setup, racer check-in, course marshaling, and tear down. Click here to sign up or email us at community@clippedinforlife.org to learn more!

  • Is there series scoring and awards?

Weekly Podiums: There will be a podium ceremony at each race. The top 3 FundRacers in each category receive custom podium awards.

Series Awards: There will also be overall series recognition based on fundraising & donations. Yes, this means you can buy your way onto a podium and be thanked for it!

  • What's your refund policy?

Since anything you pay to FundRace is a donation, there are no refunds. Thank you for supporting the growth and operations of our youth programs!
