FAQs

Got a question? You’re not alone. Check out our FAQs for our most commonly sought-after race info. If what you need isn’t here, shoot us an email at community@clippedinforlife.org.

  • Can I come just for the races?

Yes! You can register for the races a la carte, camping is not required to participate. Visit the Registration page for more info on what’s included.

  • How does the 6 Hour MTB Race work?

Ride as many laps as you can in 6 hours! You can tackle the challenge on your own in one of our solo categories, or join forces with friends and family in one of our team categories. The race starts at 8:00am, the cutoff to start your final lap is 2:00pm, and the cutoff to finish is 3:00pm. The most laps accrued in the shortest amount of time wins for each category!

Team Categories: The first rider will start their lap with the mass start at 8:00 AM. Each subsequent rider may begin their lap when the previous rider is finished. There will be a team exchange area located near the finish line in Asbill Valley, which is a great place to post up and cheer for your teammates!

Grom Teams: Groms under age 12 competing on a Grom Team or Grom Family Team will do their laps on a shortened course. Groms on the same team will be allowed to complete their laps at the same time to encourage camaraderie.

For more information, visit our 6 Hour MTB Race page.

  • How do I register a team for the 6 Hour MTB Race?

Designate one person as your Team Captain to register for your team. Team Captains will need the name and email address for each team member. Payment for the entire team entry is due when the captain registers your team.

Once your team registration is submitted, each member of your team will receive an email with a link to enter their information and sign the waiver. Your registration is not complete until all team members have signed the waiver.

For more information, visit our 6 Hour MTB Race page.

  • How does the half marathon team relay work?

Our 10K, 6K, and 5K loops make up the half marathon course! If you’re not up for running a half marathon by yourself, grab two friends for a team relay. Each team member must do one leg of the half marathon course.

    • Runner One: Complete 10K route, race start at 8:00 AM
    • Runner Two: Complete 6K route, start when Runner One comes through the relay exchange at the finish line in Asbill Valley
    • Runner Three: Complete 5K route, start when Runner Two comes through the relay exchange at the finish line in Asbill Valley

For more information, visit the Stampede Trail Runs page.

  • What can I expect if I'm camping?

In order to camp for the weekend, each vehicle must purchase a Weekend Camping Pass.

We’re super thankful to Six Sigma Ranch & Winery for hosting us! Let’s make sure we leave their property as beautiful as we found it. Here’s what you should expect while camping at Norcal Dirt Camp:

    • No campfires allowed.
    • Bathrooms: We will have portable restrooms and handwashing stations for campers
    • Cooking: Camp stoves are allowed on stable surfaces at your campsite.
    • Pack it in, pack it out: Please carry out all garbage and food waste.
    • RV Dump Station: For our friends camping with RVs, click here for a list with the nearest RV Dump Station and service centers.
    • Quiet hours: Quiet hours are from 10pm to 7am.
    • Dogs: Dogs must always be kept on a leash and under the owner’s control.
    • Livestock & wildlife: You may see domestic livestock and wild animals on the property! Please do not feed/touch/harass the animals.

  • Are campsites assigned?

Camp sites are not assigned and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. You may save a spot for a friend, but please be courteous of others. For more camping information, please visit our Camp page.

  • What other accommodations are available if I don't want to camp?

There are also a number of hotel, Airbnb, and VRBO options in the surrounding area.

  • What non-race activities will be available throughout the weekend?

Well, of course, there’s wine tasting! As a thank you to our generous hosts, be sure to enjoy some Six Sigma wine. Reservations recommended, call (707) 994-4068.
