The “Lower 40” of beautiful Skyline Wilderness Park will be our landscape to kick off the 25th anniversary season. This part of the park is all natural open field that’s been continuously mowed short, with rolling terrain for a blend of high speed fun and tricky turns before diving into the trees for some technical challenges. There’s a run-up with Belgian stairs on one side of the course, and on the other side loose, rooted terrain that will certainly bait racers to try and ride up. A few more tricky downhills and climbs have you holding on before weaving between oak trees on your way back to the gravel road finish.
Course length: 1.8 miles
Elevation per lap: 180ft
Course direction: Clockwise
Bib position: On the left
Chip Placement: Please wear your RFID chip on either ankle on the OUTSIDE of your sock! If your sock gets too mud-soaked it won’t read.
If you would like to pre-ride the course, you may do so from 8:00 am to 9:10 am on race morning. If you arrive after that time, please queue just past the finish line as a race is finishing up. The race announcer will let you know when you may get on the course to pre-ride. Please do not ever pass someone who is currently racing! If you have any questions, we are happy to answer them at the registration tent.
