Due to a worsening unsafe wind forecast (15-21 mph with 44 mph gusts) for Saturday, December 14th, we are postponing SacCX Race 8 at Johnson-Springview Park to our backup date of Sunday, December 15, 2024 (the next day). Click here to read our full racer communication.
Johnson Springview is an expansive park with shallow rolling hills and beautiful oak trees. Our SacCX main venue is in the back of the park, with the start/finish on the DG running track for fast starts and sprint finishes. The course winds up and down open grass hills, through the oak grove and on wide open DG roads to make for a classic CX race track.
Course length: 2 miles
Elevation gain per lap: ~60 feet
Course direction: Clockwise
Bib position: On the right
Chip Placement: Please wear your RFID chip on either ankle on the OUTSIDE of your sock! If your sock gets too mud-soaked it won’t read.
If you would like to pre-ride the course, you may do so from 8:00 am to 9:10 am on race morning. If you arrive after that time, please queue just past the finish line as a race is finishing up. The race announcer will let you know when you may get on the course to pre-ride. Please do not ever pass someone who is currently racing! If you have any questions, we are happy to answer them at the registration tent.
